Vulcanized outsole, Super Suede, double stitch. These terms can be confusing, but knowing them is essential for a correct choice of your skate shoes.

The Skate Sneakers are differentiated from some sneakers by the technology applied in their manufacturing process. They are designed and designed taking into account the specific needs of Skaters.

Materials

The fundamentals of Skate shoes are the materials used in their preparation, which directly affects the life of our Skate shoes. A shoe made of hemp or canvas is not the same as one made of leather or suede. Hemp and canvas do not have the same resistance or durability as leather or suede, but at the same time they have other characteristics such as comfort, breathability and lightness.

Logically if yours are the inhuman Gaps and you stick all day practicing Street you will need a good suede or leather Skate shoes.

If cruising is more important and your thing is to use the Skateboard as a means of transport, you will be able to use hemp or canvas shoes.
Seams

Seam of the Skate Shoes apart from joining the different pieces of the same gives them an additional reinforcement. Not only prevent their opening or break between the parts of the shoe, also offer support in key areas.

Normally the Skate Shoes have double and triple seams in the side area that we use to make flips and also around the thumb. Normally these high impact areas will be reinforced with additional materials.

Shoes (high-mid-low)

The different brands of Skate Shoes usually offer us three types of cane. Choosing them depends on the needs, tastes or preferences of each Skater.

The high-top style shoes provide additional protection to our ankles by holding them or protecting them against the unwanted impacts of our skate against our ankles. They are heavier and bulky.

The Skate shoes type Mid top or half cane are a hybrid of the low top with the high top being less bulky than ones of high cane and lighter. It will also give us more protection in our ankles than a low top. It is a very popular option among Skaters.

Low-top or low-top shoes are the most comfortable, the lightest and least restrict the movement of our ankles.

Now you have to choose.

Types of Sole

Basically there are two types of sole with which the different Skate Shoes are constructed and they are Vulcanized soles and Cupsole. The choice of a type of sole or other will be our foot shape and the type of Skateboarding we are going to practice.

Vulcanized soles

This kind of sole is the one that will offer us the most tact and thanks to its gummy it is a very flexible sole. One of the drawbacks of this type of sole is the lack of support in the heel since it is super flat soles. It is a type of perfect sole to practice technical tricks or to give it for the City.

This type of sole melts to give elasticity and then melts to the shoe. This type of union is much stronger than traditional gluing and its main characteristic is that between our foot and the Skate there is only a layer of rubber which translates into a touch without equal.

Cupsole soles

Basically Cupsole type outsole offer us greater protection. These soles are a bit harder than vulcanized ones but we will have more support in our feet and in our ankles. Create a thicker barrier between our foot and our skate board. The main disadvantage is that it gives us less tact.

Unlike a vulcanized sole in which the upper part and sole melt creating a single piece, in the Cupsole the upper part and sole are two independent pieces joined together with tail and seam. This process allows to add to the sole all kinds of characteristics in the sole before assembly.

The main characteristic of the cupsole is that it gives us greater support and protection to the detriment of touch.
